Environment Protection Agency (EPA) will issue reprimands and fines for any unregistered use of refrigerant gas as it pertains to ozone depleting substances. To ensure that organisations are not fined, r22 refrigerant replacement products are available. The equipment that is going to be tracked include refrigeration and air conditioning systems, commercial refrigeration, heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems, and fire protection systems. The penalty and fines will apply to organisations that will improperly emit or vent refrigerant gases that don’t meet the ozone depletion guidelines. The fine imposes a monetary penalty of $32,500 per day per unit for all those leaks that are not fixed with an r22 replacement within 30 days. With so much money at stake, the organisations are bound to take notice and install an r22 refrigerant conversion!
